I'm waiting for the third thing to happen.
It turns out that I did not dream about a big bump when we arrived in Montreal. Apparently we hit the dock and damaged the ship a bit. It was incredibly windy all day, so they used the wind as an excuse for our leaving Montreal late instead of telling all the passangers that they had to fix the ship. We normally leave around 5, but we left around 8. It was gorgeous seeing the city as the sun set behind it at least! Strange though to eat dinner without looking outside to see us moving.
The second thing to happen was the electricity went out! The sun had just set and Jacob and I were in Club HAL playing on the xboxes(Alyssa had gone down to the room to get her camera). We heard some strange humming noises and looked around for those. They stopped and we went back to the games. Suddenly, the lights and TVs went out. It was dark! I almost tripped getting up to make my way toward the window (we were still docked, so could see all Montreal's lights). The few emergency lights came on and we could walk around. We went downstairs for a minute and found out that the emergency lights were the only lights on all over the ship! A few minutes later, they made an announcement to reassure everything that everything was okay. Alyssa and I took our cameras outside to get some beautiful night shots of the city! Soon, the lights came back on and all was well.
Eventful first day of the cruise! The one kid on board didn't come last night, so we left early and went to the introduction show for the entertainment staff, since we're always working during it.
In Quebec again today. I'm about to get back on the ship for lunch, then head out to town with a group (Kayley, Alyssa, Edison and probably some others I don't know about; I didn't realize that I was included in the plans until I got off the ship and saw Edison, haha). I get to explore more and take lots of pictures, hopefully some of people finally!
