great day in Half Moon Cay despite the rain!

March 19, 2013: Half Moon Cay
Ohhh it was a great day!
It started out not-so-great because when I went off early with all the supplies for island games, it was cloudy and rainy. While I was building a sandcastle with three of the kids, it started to pour, such cold rain for a cloudy day. Chrissy came about then and took over with two building the sandcastles while I played Frisbee with the other. Then, it was time to clean up. Chrissy and I walked down to beach to find a place to lay out and keep our stuff. We found Charlotte with Ana, Colleen (sax player), and Matan so we joined them!

It was just the six of us for a while, but Chrissy and Matan left to do stuff back on the ship. But then Kayleigh and Jessie came by, and August and Justin (from the HAL Cats, they had just gotten done playing). We all ended up getting in the water and playing Frisbee for half an hour before we dried off and laid in the cloudy sun until it was time to get back on the ship. So much fun! We’re planning on doing the same thing next time we’re in Half Moon Cay, plus building sandcastles with the stuff I have for the kids!

We got back on the ship almost on the last crew tender. I had to change quickly so I could run upstairs for lunch and work. None of the teens came up right away, which made sense since I’d seen the ones I knew on the beach and knew they had been looking forward to spending as much time as possible there. They did come up eventually and we ended up going back to the Lido for food. We stayed in the Lido talking until 5. One of the boys likes photography as well so we had a nice discussion about that.

I went back to the room and went through pictures from today until dinner. The night went like they usually do. We took a field trip to the Queens Lounge to watch karaoke then went back to the Loft where we sat the rest of the night talking.
