May 16, 2013: Halifax
My day off. I slept in a bit, had a nice calm breakfast, then hung out for a bit for Jenn to get off work. It was a gross cold, rainy day but we decided to get off anyway. I wanted to walk through the Farmer’s Market and she wanted to get some food from Atlantic Superstore. We wandered around the market for a bit, then ventured out in the rain to find the store. After stepping in some rather large puddles and crossing the street a few times looking around to find this store, we found it! Wet umbrellas in hand, we searched for the food she wanted (she’s nearly as picky and eater as me, and has pretty much given up on eating in the Lido). I found Dr. Pepper, so bought that; Jenn bought her snacks and we headed back out into the rain. Neither of us were ready to get back on the ship, and we had a few hours before we had to anyway, so we returned to the Farmer’s Market and got crepes for lunch. We had a long, leisurely lunch before going back to get into dry clothes and warm up. I checked on Carly in Club HAL for a bit, and just relaxed and read the rest of the afternoon.
Tonight was Camp Night. Only the oldest tween and the three-year-old showed up. We had an extended free time before theme night started. I let the boy play MarioKart instead of doing the first craft, but he did want to decorate a bear, so started that when his dad came. The 3-year-old girl left only a few minutes later, so I cleaned up and left a bit early.
