July 17, 2013: Montenegro
Cabin inspections were supposedly this morning, so I went up to the Lido to have breakfast with James and Linda so we wouldn’t have to be in the room to deal with that (they say we can be in our rooms, but not on the bed; other than the bathroom, where else can we be other than on the bed!?!). I signed up for the crew excursion to Pompeii and hung out on deck 3 for a bit, admiring how pretty it is here, then went back to the room and took a nap until 11. It was tendering today and Jessie told me at breakfast that it was a long tender ride because we anchored very far away for some reason, so I didn’t really feel like I had to get off the ship today (I’ll be back a few more times before the end of my contract). Instead, I did laundry and watched a movie with James.
I wasn’t very hungry at dinner because I’d had a late lunch after my laundry finished, but I had a small dinner before going up to work. It was alien night, so during free time April painted faces and I helped color in the sign we’d made for the kids to decorate. It was a pretty good night; we made rockets, built our own alien, and played 4 planets (they really really love 4 corners, so we now play it every chance we get).
It was my turn to work after-hours, so at 10 instead of leaving I moved to the tween room. Five kids stayed, four played video games for a while and I put on a movie for the other one. After a while, all 5 were watching the movie, that one ended (I started it where they’d left off last night) so we started to finish another one they’d started the other day. Not too hard of a night, they were all quiet and sleepy.
