Santorini

July 11, 2013: Santorini
I had breakfast with Linda this morning and then went back to bed to wait for Open Tender. It wasn’t a long wait, but Linda had to reboot the lighting system in the showroom so we didn’t get off for a while. Santorini apparently doesn’t like ships to use their own tenders, so we got to ride in their comfortable, bigger ones. It was a short ride, then we had to take the cable car (or a donkey, which was more expensive, at least for crew) up to the top where the town was. It’s a pretty cool town, we did some shopping, had some lunch, did some more shopping and photo-taking before deciding it was about time to head back down so we didn’t get in the crowd as all-aboard time got closer. Good thing too, because the line for the cable car was already 10 minutes long, and it was over an hour before last crew tender!

I didn’t really do much until dinner. Club HAL theme night was Improv. Some of the kids were really into it, others weren’t. The ones that weren’t were extremely disruptive and then complained about us not doing anything; we weren’t doing anything because they weren’t letting us explain the activity. It was a somewhat frustrating night. After the first two activities (we ended up only doing three), most of the disruptive ones had left, so the last activity (random lines, a good one anyway) went smoothly and they all loved it! We even got the ‘audience’ to stay in their seats and watch instead of scream out ideas and stuff.
